As part of its Social Responsibility program, Toyota de México launched the first call “Driving a Better Mexico” in 2018, which since then has aimed for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to promote and strengthen the development of vulnerable communities. Mexican Red Cross, Chiapas: The challenge of this program was to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by traffic accidents, promoting a culture of road safety education in peri-urban areas of Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas. Through various actions such as promoting awareness in school-age children about the main risk factors for road safety and increasing preventive behavior habits in motorists, cyclists and motorcyclists, among others, it was possible to inform and teach more than 18,000 people between children and adults.
